Four years ago, Starcoin set out to build a secure and scalable blockchain infrastructure. Since then, waves of trends have come and gone, but we’ve stayed grounded in one commitment: to adapt and keep evolving. We chose to shape a resilient blockchain base through modular design, community collaboration, and a long-term vision — because value isn’t just built through code, but through the resonance between people and ideas.
Technical Evolution: Why We Stay Resilient
Starcoin began with a simple PoW architecture. But from the start, our technical path has been one of clarity and discipline. We didn’t chase trends; instead, we focused on scalability and structural resilience.
Through modular architecture, we decoupled consensus, execution, and governance logic — allowing each layer to evolve independently. This made the system more adaptable, ready for iteration and deployment in different contexts.
On the consensus layer, we introduced a DAG-based model that enables multiple blocks to be produced and propagated in parallel, significantly improving throughput. With dynamic tuning mechanisms, the network remains efficient even under volatile conditions. On the execution side, we built TurboSTM — a parallel execution engine tailored for Move VM — enabling concurrent processing of non-conflicting transactions. Our test results show up to 17,000 TPS.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for a new phase. In 2025, Starcoin will launch dual-VM and dual-modular architecture, enabling multi-VM collaboration and adaptive upgrades for diverse scenarios. We’re also developing StarStack — a modular blockchain toolkit for businesses, studios, and developers to easily deploy chains as plug-and-play components.
Our tech isn’t here to serve hype; it’s built to serve performance, order, and adaptability. That’s the foundation behind our long-term resilience.
Community Co-Building: Value Rooted in Collaboration
Every step of Starcoin’s journey has been shaped by community participation. Developers brought ideas to life, building DEXs and governance tools while refining the core protocols. On the governance layer, community members voted on-chain proposals and steered system upgrades. In the Move ecosystem, Builders continuously contributed modular components that expanded real-world applications.
These weren’t isolated efforts. They wove a collaborative network — a living system of co-creation that forms the roots of the Starcoin ecosystem.
