Four Years of Building: Evolving through Adaptation

Since 2019, Starcoin has shifted from early explorations of Layer 2 to building a fully decentralized, programmable public financial infrastructure. Throughout market fluctuations, our focus has remained on developing scalable, secure, and decentralized blockchain foundations.

In 2021, Starcoin launched its mainnet, deployed the first dApp in the Move ecosystem, and initiated on-chain governance through DAO.

Between 2022 and 2024, we released core projects like Starswap and delivered major performance improvements — achieving 17,000 TPS in testing and laying the groundwork for scalable adoption.

In 2025, we will introduce a dual-VM architecture, further enhancing flexibility and scalability to support more diverse applications.

Alongside this, the release of Starcoin 2.0, powered by FlexiDAG, TurboSTM, and modular VM design, will continue pushing the limits of performance. We’re also developing StarStack, a modular blockchain builder framework tailored for businesses, studios, and developers — helping them deploy blockchain applications efficiently and bringing Web3 technology into practical use.
